History
Robert Redstone, Sr. began his career in the insurance business in the 1930s after marrying his wife Evelyn and joining her family’s New Orleans based insurance agency, J. H. Bodenheimer & Son, founded by her Grandfather. In 1941, Redstone, Sr. moved to Shreveport and established Redstone Agency, initially contracted as General Agent with Provident Life and Accident of Chattanooga, TN.
Robert Redstone, Jr., “Bobby”, joined his Father in the family Agency in 1960 and early on, his practice was focused on life insurance. Realizing the value of income protection, particularly in the medical marketplace, Bobby incorporated disability income planning into his practice and became one of the top disability income producers in the United States. In addition, Bobby and staff personally administered the claims process for nearly 30 years on a local level, giving the Agency a wealth of invaluable experience with regard to how claims actually work.
Continuing on the family tradition, Robert Redstone, III joined the Agency in 1994 after graduating from the University of Tennessee. Over the last 26+ years, Robert has focused most of his time in the disability income and life insurance arenas, primarily working with medical and dental professionals. In today’s ever-changing marketplace, as a fifth generation insurance agent, Robert recognizes and appreciates the true value in long-term experience in both product knowledge and disability claims administration, both of which he feels gives Redstone Agency a competitive advantage.
